UPDATE: March 5, 2021

Shipleys will be open seven days a week with bingo played from 10am-10pm each day. The main entrance will be on Union Street next to Slaters Menswear. Visitors can play all the most popular. Buzz Bingo are yet to open any of their bingo halls, with a date of August 6 when they will open 12, with a few to stagger openings from there. What Will Be Different? Of course, stringent social distancing measures will be in place in compliance with government guidelines.

In accordance with the announcements made by the Provincial government, we are happy to share the following updates:

NEW – Effective March 8th, 2021

  • Delta Barrie – Reopening with a maximum capacity of 10 guests
  • Delta Penetang – Reopening with a maximum capacity of 10 guests
  • Delta Peterborough – Maximum capacity will be reduced to 10 guests
  • Delta Sudbury – Maximum capacity will be reduced to 10 guests
  • Delta Val Caron – Maximum capacity will be reduced to 10 guests

Coronavirus: Relaxing the lockdown

The high street is one again busy as shoppers head out to visit the recently reopened non-essential retailers.

Of course, the scenes are very different, with outside queues and social distancing being enforced, along with the wearing of masks.

Nevertheless, some have felt even a small degree of normality is something.

As you’ll know though, restaurants, bars, pubs and cinemas remaing temporaily closed to the public.

  • Currently, it’s uncertain when bingo halls will be able to reopen in the UK.

Over the course of the pandemic, it has been widely known that the elderly are at greater risk of falling victim to the virus.

Due to bingo halls having a sizeable elderly demographic who regularly visit, there was a great emphasis early on to close them.

However, with pubs and so forth due to open in July, it’s likely that we could see bingo halls reopen shortly after.
